Fungo
Privacy Policy
Effective September 25, 2026
This policy is written in plain English. If anything is unclear, email support@fungo.bledo.app.
Who we are
Fungo is a practice-planning app for youth baseball and softball coaches. It is published by Nicolas Robledo. When this policy says “we”, it means him.
Questions, requests or worries about your information: support@fungo.bledo.app.
What we collect
Your account.
- Your name and email address. You give us these when you create an account, or they come from Apple or Google if you choose to sign in with them.
- If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we only receive the relay address Apple creates for you, never your real address.
- If you sign in with Google, Google also sends a link to your Google profile picture. Our sign-in service keeps it with your account, but Fungo never uses or shows it.
- If you choose to set a password, it is kept by Amazon Cognito, the sign-in service Fungo uses. It is never stored in Fungo’s own database.
What coaches enter about their teams.
- The team’s name, season and age group.
- The roster: each person’s name, and whether they are a player or a coach. That is all a roster entry holds — there are no fields for birthdays, photos, addresses or contact details.
- Practice plans: dates, times, the drills, which players are in each group, and the coach’s notes.
- The team’s drills and practice locations.
Notes and descriptions are free text, so they hold whatever a coach types. Please keep them about baseball and softball, and leave out anything private about a child.
On your device. Fungo keeps sign-in tokens so you stay signed in, and a copy of your teams’ data so the app still works without a connection. A copy older than 7 days is discarded rather than used, and the copy is removed when you sign out.
App updates. The iPhone app from the App Store checks for small updates to Fungo when it opens, and downloads them from Expo (EAS Update), the service that delivers them. Each check sends Expo the device’s IP address, that it runs iOS, which Fungo build and update it is running, and a random number the app makes up for itself when it is installed — it isn’t tied to you or your account, and Expo uses it to count how many devices have each update. If Fungo ever fails to start, the next update check also sends Expo a short description of the error. No account or team data goes to Expo. The website does not use Expo’s updates.
Server logs. Amazon Web Services keeps short-lived logs of requests and errors (for example: when a request came in, which part of the app it used, and whether it worked) so we can keep Fungo running and fix problems. They are deleted after 14 days. Separately, AWS keeps its own 90-day record of administrative activity on the AWS account that runs Fungo.
What we don’t do
- No advertising.
- No tracking you across other apps or websites.
- No analytics, and no third-party software in the app that builds a profile of you.
- No selling your information, and no sharing it with anyone for marketing.
- No using your information to train AI models.
Children
Fungo is made for coaches, who are adults. Players are entered on the roster by their coaches. Players do not have accounts and never sign in to Fungo.
If you are a parent or guardian and want your child’s name removed, you can ask the team’s coach — any coach on the team can delete a roster entry. Or email support@fungo.bledo.app and we will take care of it.
If you believe a child has created a Fungo account, email us and we will delete it.
Where it’s stored and for how long
Your information is stored with Amazon Web Services in the United States, in its US West (Northern California) region.
- Your account is kept until you delete it, which you can do at any time (see below).
- Team information is kept for as long as the team exists. A team belongs to all of its coaches, so it can outlive any one coach’s account.
- Backups: the database keeps a rolling 35-day history so it can be restored after an accident. Anything deleted drops out of those backups within 35 days.
- Server logs are deleted after 14 days (AWS’s own record of account activity, after 90).
Sharing
- With the other coaches on your teams. They see the team’s information, and your name and email address in the team’s list of coaches.
- With the services that run Fungo. Amazon Web Services hosts the app and the database, sends the sign-in emails, and runs sign-in. Apple or Google take part only if you choose to sign in with them.
- With Expo, for app updates. Expo (EAS Update) delivers updates to the App Store app. It receives only what a check for an update sends, described under App updates above — never your account or your teams’ information.
Nothing else, unless the law requires it.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to More → Account → Delete account (if you’re not on a team, it’s under Account on the first screen). The app shows you what will happen to each of your teams, then asks you to type DELETE to confirm. Deleting your account:
- deletes your sign-in account, with your name and email address;
- removes you from every team, so your name and email leave each team’s list of coaches;
- deletes, completely, any team where you are the only coach — its roster, practices, drills and locations;
- leaves teams you share with other coaches in their hands, including what you added to them.
If you are the only owner of a team that still has other coaches, the app asks you to make one of them an owner first, so the team isn’t left without one.
Deleted information drops out of backups within 35 days. You can also email support@fungo.bledo.app and ask us to delete your account or anything in it.
Security
- Everything travels between the app and our servers encrypted (HTTPS).
- Information stored on our servers is encrypted at rest.
- A team’s information can only be read by signed-in coaches on that team. A coach joins a team with its join code, so share the code only with your coaches. A team’s owner can change the code, and remove a coach, at any time.
- We look at stored information only when we need to — to keep Fungo running, fix a problem, or handle a request from you.
